Matt Mikolajewski serves as a Financial Consultant at Retirement Benefits Group in San Diego. With more than 17 years of experience in the industry, Matt specializes in developing defined strategies and recommendations for successful individuals, their families and their businesses in an effort to help them meet their short and long-term financial goals.
Specifically, Matt provides individuals, businesses and business owners with products, strategies and services in the following areas: cash/treasury management of liquid funds; assistance with investment policy design and implementation; retirement, succession, legacy and estate planning services; IRA, SEP, defined benefits, 401(k) and executive compensation plans; and life-long insurance planning, long-term care, income replacement and business succession strategies.
Prior to joining Retirement Benefits Group, Matt served as a Financial Advisor at various firms including Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities and PaineWebber/UBS, where he focused on providing Wealth Management strategies to his clients. Additionally, Matt previously served as an owner with his successful family business for more than 10 years. As a result, Matt understands the commitment and passion his clients have for their respective professions.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis in 1993. Additionally, he has earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPR®) designation and holds his Insurance Licenses in California, Ohio and New Mexico.

Matt is a San Diego native, where he resides in Del Sur with his wife Mandy and their sons. When not at the office, Matt enjoys family time and coaching sports such as football and T-ball. He is currently a member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) San Diego chapter, strongly supporting and advocating construction, building and real estate in our San Diego community. Previously, he served as a member of the East County Family YMCA for 12 years.
